In March, he and some friends decided to mix up a batch of psychedelic tea using some “magic mushrooms” they’d grown in their backyard. And at first things were fine.
But then Jarrod started acting a little crazy. In fact, he got so messed up that he became convinced the world was about to end, and that his friend and sparring partner . . . 21-year-old Taylor Powell . . . was the Devil.
So in order to save the world from Satan’s wrath, Jarrod KILLED his buddy Taylor. Then he cut out the poor guy’s heart and tongue, removed most of his face, and cooked the severed body parts in the stove.
A little later, another friend showed up and found Jarrod naked and covered in blood, standing over Taylor’s dead body.
Even more disgusting is that, according to his death certificate, Taylor’s heart was removed while he was STILL ALIVE.
Anyway, Jarrod was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated mayhem, and torture. His lawyer is trying to argue that Jarrod suffered a psychotic break because of the drugs, so he can’t be held responsible for what he did.
If Jarrod’s convicted, he could be put to death.

hahahahaha thats to funny i my self have done shrooms and thought my freind joe wuz the devil but i thought it wuz funny!!! this guy is a complete wack job for trying to save the world by ripping his heart out….. and y didnt his freind/sparing partner defend him self? this is jus pure and udder proof that the world is going crazy one person at a time!!!!

I’ve done shrooms twice and both times it was just pure happiness and fun.. either he got some bad shrooms or this guy is seriously fucked up in the head to begin with.

I think that the person that call’s himself shadow is a real jerk for his comment no matter what kind of drug you do it can alter your mind,so everyone is stupid for even trying it if they don’t know what the side effects are going to be,so grow up and stop doing drug’s and it’s not funny you’re just an ass

I have had some bad experiences with peaking on mushrooms. This is just tragic. What an awful way to die.

Theres no such thing as bad shrooms its the individual that makes a bad due to the way they react to the experience. I’ve done shrooms and acid and never flipped out, bugged out, or even got scared. It was just me and trails and colors and sounds seeming a little more bright then usual. However I have seen people who are a little off in the psychologic dept normally when drugs induced it hightens there psychosis and that could be he case. This guy might have been already an anxious person and the drugs then magnified this predominantly.

Why was he labeled as an MMA fighter? the guy had one MMA fight his whole life.. Do you write stories about psychotic killers who played football in their backyard and title the story as “NFL player murders 5 people”
Why does every media outlet claim a guy is a mixed martial arts fighter when they’ve done something illegal regardless of whether they’re actual professional fighters or not.
