David Lowery of Buzz Band Cracker

With hits “Low” and “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)” Cracker has always been a favorite band for Buzz fans. This begs the question: “What happened to Cracker?”  Well, we have the answer!

After 1993′s Kerosene Hat the band has gone on to release 10 albums including 2000′s Garage D’Or a greatest hits and rarities album and 2003′s O’ Cracker Where Art Thou? Which contain cracker songs performed by the band in a bluegrass style.

Cracker’s most recent album, 2009′s Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey put them them back on the Billboard 200 for the first time in over 10 years.  The band continues to tour the world, playing songs from their massive 20 year catalog.

Lead singer and founder David Lowery, has now entered the blogosphere. David’s mission on 300 Songs blog is to talk about the music he has written over the years with Cracker and his previous band Camper Van Beethoven song by song.

I often get asked questions about different songs. So i came up with this idea to write a few comments about each of the songs. like: with whom I recorded, what the song is about, Or simply something funny or interesting that happened in the session. .
